Čertovy skály is a natural monument declared in 1983 near the village of Lidečko in the Zlín Region. It consists of a group of sandstone rock towers, ridges, and blocks formed by weathering in the Magura Flysch. The most famous formation is a 25-meter-high rock needle called Čertova skála.
Numerous legends are associated with the site, such as one about a devil who wanted to build a bridge across the valley and scattered rocks around the area. The rocks are a sought-after tourist destination and offer beautiful views of the Vizovice Highlands. They are accessible via a marked hiking trail from Lidečko or Pulčín.
In the Čertovy skály area, there are also several small caves, but the main attraction is the bizarre rock shapes that resemble various figures and animals. The site is ideal for hiking trips and, due to its low difficulty, for families with children. The nearest parking is in the village of Lidečko, from where you can expect a gently ascending forest path about 2 km long.
