About this place
On the border of the Krkonoše, Jizerské hory and Český ráj regions, there are the only accessible caves in northern Bohemia. They contain the largest underground lake in Bohemia. Due to their uniqueness, these caves have been declared a National Natural Monument.
Notice
Due to high visitor interest during the summer tourist season, we recommend making a reservation by phone in advance. Reservations for individuals and families are accepted on weekdays from 8 to 10 am, on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 10 am at phone number 481 682 167. Group reservations are accepted throughout the visiting hours.
Arrival by car
Take the E65 from Prague all the way to Železný Brod, where you turn east towards Vrchlabí. The caves are located on the edge of the village, where signs will guide you. You can park your car in a designated parking lot. A ten-minute walk will take you to the entrance of the caves in a nearby forest.
