Botanická zahrada hlavního města Prahy lies in the picturesque Trojská kotlina and is one of the most beautiful places in the capital. Its history dates back to 1969 when it was founded, but it opened to the public only in 1992. Today, on an area of over 25 hectares, it presents a diverse range of native and exotic plants.
The biggest attraction is the Fata Morgana tropical greenhouse, which transports you to rainforests, deserts, and high mountain regions. Outdoor exhibits include a Japanese garden with bonsai, the historic vineyard of St. Klára, and displays of Czech flora. Don't forget to visit the interactive exhibit and the apiary.
The garden is open year-round, the Fata Morgana greenhouse from Tuesday to Sunday. The easiest way to get there is from the Nádraží Holešovice metro station by bus 112. Nearby, you will also find Zoo Praha and Trojský zámek – ideal for a full-day trip.
