Blatenský vrch (1043 m) offers beautiful views of the ridges of the Krušné hory and the surrounding peat bogs. An ideal destination for easy hiking.

Blatenský vrch is a prominent basalt mountain with an altitude of 1043 meters, rising above the village of Horní Blatná. Its summit features remarkable columnar basalt formations, protected as a natural monument. From the top, panoramic views of the entire Krušné hory open up.

In the past, the area was famous for tin mining, as evidenced by numerous remnants of mining works in the vicinity. Today, Blatenský vrch is a popular destination for tourists seeking peaceful nature and distant vistas.

The best access is via the blue hiking trail from Horní Blatná, the ascent takes about 40 minutes. We recommend visiting in clear weather, when you can see as far as the peaks of German mountains.
