Baťův kanál

Baťův kanál is a waterway of transport importance, class 0. Without a license, you can operate small vessels up to 20 kW, capable only of displacement navigation and max speed of 20 km/h. This means that a person over 18 can operate a vessel without special permission or a license; at the rental, the staff will only train you in handling the boat. Planing is prohibited. On canal sections, the maximum speed is 8 km/h.

The length of Baťův kanál (from Otrokovice to Skalice) is currently approximately 53 km. Some sections follow the Morava River, while others run through artificially dug canal sections. Overall, it is navigable from Kroměříž to Hodonín, but there are several "obstacles": -on the northern side, the lock at the Bělov weir near Otrokovice is missing, meaning the section from this weir to Kroměříž is separate and not connected to the rest of the waterway. -on the southern part of Baťův kanál, the lock in Sudoměřice is missing, which prevents navigation from the tabular gate onward towards Hodonín, where there is a separate navigable section.
