Aquapark Bešeňová is one of the most popular thermal swimming pools in Slovakia. Geothermal water at a temperature of 60.5°C springs here, rich in minerals and beneficial for the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. The complex offers visitors outdoor pools with attractions as well as an indoor section open year-round with relaxation pools, saunas, and wellness procedures.
The history of thermal water use in Bešeňová dates back to the 1980s, when rich springs were discovered during oil exploration. Initially, a small natural swimming pool was created, which gradually grew into a modern water park with a capacity of up to several thousand visitors per day. Today, Bešeňová is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Liptov region, attracting families with children, couples, and seniors.
For Czech tourists, Bešeňová is easily accessible by car via the D1 motorway towards Žilina and then along the E50 road. Parking is free directly at the complex. We recommend arriving early in the morning, especially in the summer season, to avoid queues at the ticket counters. Discounted entry is also available after 3 PM. In addition to swimming, you will appreciate the surrounding nature – the water park lies at the foot of the Chočské vrchy hills and offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.
