Branický park (Branitzer Park)

Branický park is the masterpiece of the famous landscape architect and globetrotter Prince Hermann von Pückler-Muskau. Together with Branitz Castle, it forms a harmonious ensemble of an English landscape park, which Pückler built from 1845 until his death. The park is crisscrossed by a network of water canals, romantic bridges, and carefully designed vistas that guide visitors around two unique artificial pyramids – the Lake Pyramid and the Dry Pyramid – where the prince and his wife are buried.

A walk through the park offers constant surprises: from blooming rhododendron avenues through shady groves to quiet ponds with water lilies.
