Bad Wimpfen

Bad Wimpfen lies on the Romantic Neckar Trail and boasts one of the best-preserved medieval centers in Germany. Its landmark is the former Imperial Palace from the Hohenstaufen period, with its majestic Blue and Red Towers and the impressive stone oriel of the palace. A walk through narrow streets with half-timbered houses and a Gothic church takes visitors back centuries.

In addition to historical monuments, the spa parks and thermal baths, which gave the town its name, are also attractive. From the viewing terrace at the palace, there is a breathtaking view of the Neckar Valley. The town is also a starting point for cycling and hiking trails through the surrounding wine-growing region.

For Czech tourists, Bad Wimpfen is easily accessible by car via the A6 motorway towards Nuremberg and Heilbronn, exit Bad Rappenau. Parking is available on the edge of the historic center. In the area, it is worth visiting the city of Heilbronn, Burg Guttenberg castle with bird of prey shows, or the nearby vineyards with typical wine cellars.
