Autostadt

About this place

Autostadt is a paradise for car enthusiasts – an interactive museum and brand park of the Volkswagen Group in Wolfsburg with pavilions, a racing track, and a view of the factory.

Autostadt is a unique automotive park and museum that has been attracting visitors to the heart of Lower Saxony since 2000. It is located right next to the massive Volkswagen factory, and its pavilions for the group's individual brands – from Škoda to Audi to Lamborghini – offer an interactive look into the world of mobility.

Don't miss the ZeitHaus museum featuring over 250 historical and modern automobiles, the iconic car towers (CarTowers) where finished vehicles are stored at heights of up to 48 meters, or an exciting ride on the test track. A tour of the Volkswagen factory must be booked in advance.

For Czech tourists, Autostadt is accessible by car in about 5 hours from Prague (motorway via Dresden and Leipzig). We recommend setting aside a whole day; there are several restaurants and cafés on site. Tickets can be purchased online, and if you don't understand German, most exhibits have descriptions in English.
