Ammersee

Ammersee, also known as "Ammer", is the third largest lake in Bavaria and one of the most popular recreational areas in the Alpine foothills. This glacial lake is located southwest of Munich and is popular for its clear waters and picturesque surroundings. Historically, it served as an important waterway, and today it is sought after for various water sports, swimming, and relaxation.

Main attractions include the charming town of Herrsching, from which steamboats depart for cruises around the lake.
