Futuristic football stadium with unique lighting, home of Bayern Munich, with a museum and guided tours.
Allianz Arena, opened in 2005, is an iconic symbol of modern Munich. This futuristic stadium designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron is home to the famous football club FC Bayern München. Its facade of inflatable ETFE panels lights up at night in the team's colors – red for Bayern, white for neutral events – and is visible from the surrounding Alpine peaks.
With a capacity of 75,000 spectators, it is one of the most modern stadiums in the world. Visitors can enjoy regular guided tours that include the players' dressing room, the tunnel to the pitch, and VIP areas. The experience also includes the interactive FC Bayern Museum, charting the club's rich history with numerous trophies and exhibits. Tickets for the tour and museum can be advantageously combined.
For Czech tourists, Allianz Arena is easily accessible by car via the D5/A6 motorway from Plzeň or Rozvadov, with ample parking directly at the stadium. From Munich city center, you can conveniently reach it by subway U6 to the terminus Fröttmaning (approx. 20 minutes). If you plan to visit on a match day, book tickets in advance and expect limited tour availability. The complex also includes a fan shop and restaurants.
