The Albertina is one of the most significant art museums in the world, housed in a magnificent neoclassical palace in the heart of Vienna. The Albertina Palace was built in the 19th century and originally served as the residence of Archduke Albrecht of Saxe-Teschen, from whom the museum takes its name. The magnificent state rooms with original furnishings and wall decorations evoke the life of the aristocracy of the Habsburg monarchy.
